Sub Plans Generic

First, thank you for covering my class! My schedule is posted on the bulletin board next to the Promethean board (under the dog picture). Seating charts are organized by day/class, and are located on the desk under the window in my room (near blue door). The computers in my room are quite old/persnickety. Please ask all students to bring their own devices.

Please remind students that you/Mr. Meloni always expects best behavior from all students. If any student chronically misbehaves, please remove them from the Google Meet and/or message me their name/behavior using this link or text 410 698 4121.

Actual Plans:

Grades 3-5: Students should go to LearnWithTech.org and click on THEIR grade level. On each grade level page their is a heading entitled "Learning Now" Students

K-2- Use Google Meet to show and share the "Hidden Heroes" program/link: https://pbskids.org/xavier/games/hidden-heroes The character in the program does tell students what to do, but please look at the program BEFORE the first class, so that you can give students helpful hints.

PART 2. K-2 Discuss why students and adults wear glasses. Show/present the Sid the Science episode on Glasses: https://pbskids.org/video/sid-science-kid/3055559772

After the video, ask students what they learned about glasses.

3-5 We have been working on engineering activities over the past 6 weeks. Part of being an engineer is creating/designing new ways to do things, and inventions. Ask students what would they want to create/invent if they could. Show/present the Trash to Treasure video: https://pbskids.org/video/design-squad-nation/1842863347

After the video, ask the students to share ANY new learning from the video.

PART 3. ALL grades/classes- Time permitting, share the Learn With Tech web site https://www.learnwithtech.org/ and tell the kids to re-visit ANY of the old activities/links on the site.

Again, If any student chronically misbehaves, please remove them from the Google Meet and/or message me their name/behavior using this link: Contact Mr. Meloni on Schoology .

If the "Contact" link doesn't work, please leave a list of any behavior issues on a note in my mailbox. Thank you again for covering my class!!
